The Award recognises significant scholarly, research, pedagogical or professional contribution in the areas of professional or research ethics.
Nominees for the Prize will be APS members or subscribers who, in the period since the previous award of the prize, have made a significant scholarly, research, pedagogical or professional contribution in the areas of professional or research ethics. Nominees may be self-nominated or nominated by another APS member or subscriber. Members or subscribers who are nominated by other members or subscribers must agree in writing to their nomination before their nomination is entered into the judging. The source of nomination shall not be used as grounds for judging nominees by the judging panel when it considers the nominations. The nominee shall submit as evidence of significant scholarly, research, pedagogical or professional contribution in the areas of professional or research ethics:
The Prize will be valued at $500.
The chair of the Ethics Committee will chair a judging panel. In addition to the chair, the panel shall consist of one other member of the Ethics Committee and a Member who is not a current member of the Ethics Committee.
