Dear DRN members in Victoria,
This is just a brief email to draw your attention to The Victorian Disaster Mental Health Workforce Capacity Survey.
This survey is being conducted by the University of Melbourne with support from the Australian Psychological Society, the Australian Centre for Post-Traumatic Mental Health, and other agencies.
The primary aim of this important project is to map and assess the current state (i.e., the nature, scope, profile and capacity) of the disaster mental health workforce in Victoria with a view to enhancing workforce development, disaster response planning, and future capacity to provide best-practice mental health support to disaster affected Victorians.
The researchers are inviting psychologists in Victoria to participate in this important research project. Your contribution to this project is highly valued even if you presently think that you may not have much capacity to provide support in disasters. The project has received clearance from the University Human Research Ethics Committee.
