Groups

A large number of members of the Society participate on Committees, Advisory, Reference and Conference Organising Groups. Members bring to these groups a range of relevant skills and represent a balance of geographic regions, specialist knowledge and employment contexts, ensuring a diverse range of opinions are considered in policy making.

Board Advisory Groups 

The Board is supported by five Advisory Groups, each with a particular focus in key strategic areas. The Advisory Groups are comprised of members of the Society with expert knowledge in the particular strategic area covered by the Group, together with two Board Directors. Members of Advisory Groups are appointed by the Board for a one-year term following a call for expressions of interest.

The Advisory Groups ensure that the Board has access to relevant expertise and input from the Society’s membership. The Advisory Groups to the Board cover the following strategic areas:
