The APS NT Branch Territorian of the Year Award recognizes outstanding community contributions to mental health awareness, promotion and service in the Northern Territory (NT) during the previous 12 months, prior to the closing date of the award.

Administration

  1. The selection committee will call for nominations through bulk email to members of the Northern Territory Branch.
  2. Nominations must be submitted by a current APS member.
  3. Nominations should include a one page description of the contribution made to mental health awareness, promotion and service.
  4. Nominations must be submitted via email to apsntcommittee@hotmail.com

Eligibility

  1. Nominees need not be a member of the Society.
  2. Nominees must reside in the Northern Territory.
  3. Nominees need not be a psychologist.

Selection criteria

The selection committee will have regard to the nominee’s contributions to the following sections during the previous 12 months, prior to the closing date of the award:

  1. furthering awareness of mental health issues in the Northern Territory;
  2. service to mental health clients in the Northern Territory; and
  3. promotion of mental health in the Northern Territory.

Value of the award

Successful candidates for the APS NT Branch Territorian of the Year Award will receive a commemorative plaque to be presented during a Northern Territory Branch National Psychology Week event.
