Submit an Event

The APS Events Calendar provides a valuable platform for event listers to connect with a highly targeted and motivated audience and provide members with information about continuing professional development and other relevant events. The Events Calendar attracts over 20,000 unique visits each month.

The Events Calendar contains CPD and other events organised by the APS, the APS Members Groups and APS members. Non-APS members and organisations with an interest in psychology and psychological issues are also able to list events.

The APS Events Calendar is currently being redeveloped with the new version set to launch on Tuesday 20 January 2015. The new Events Calendar will offer a number of excellent features including:

  • Simplified template to make listing an event faster and easier
  • Google map referencing
  • User defined publish start and end dates
  • Multiple dates/locations per listing
  • Option to upload images/logos
  • Improved search functionality

In addition, the APS will introduce a fee structure for event listings on the new Events Calendar.  For more details about this new fee structure, please see APS Events Calendar advertising fee schedule.

Important transition details

Event listings can be submitted to the new calendar from 20 January 2015.

In order to facilitate a smooth transition to the new calendar, the listing submission page on the existing Events Calendar will be disabled on Friday 12 December 2014.  Event listings on the existing Events Calendar will remain active until Monday 19 January 2015 when all events that are current will be migrated to the new calendar.

APS CPD Approval

The Events Calendar shows two types of CPD approval (formerly labelled “endorsement”):

  1. APS Institute CPD refers to CPD opportunities offered by the APS Institute.
  2. APS College CPD refers to College-specific CPD events submitted on behalf of an APS College.  Relevant forms for requesting College CPD approval are available on the APS Member Groups website in the Committee Hub.
