| Description | Workshop - When Clients Don't Follow Directions: Dealing with Non-adherence to Treatment Plans Any Case Management or Treatment Professional will tell you that the most frustrating aspect of their job is when the clients they are working for don't follow their directions. Despite all good intentions, the professional can sometimes hinder the chances that clients will follow through on mandated processes or activities that are shown to be beneficial. For Insurance Case Managers, Rehabilitation Consultants, Return to Work Providers, Injury Management Advisors and Psychologists, the job of encouraging clients to attend appointments, undertake assessments, undertake treatment, or even communicate, can be at times very challenging. This workshop is designed to provide participants with information to develop their skills in engaging with clients, fostering effective working relationships, and motivating their clients to participate in activities they naturally would attempt to avoid. The workshop is aimed at Insurance Case Managers, Rehabilitation Consultants, Return to Work Providers, Injury Management Advisors, and Psychologists, working with injured workers.
