Coaching for Emotional Engagement through Appreciative Inquiry
|Description||The Engagement Crisis in Our Workplaces Today: Most people in the Western world come home from work each day without experiencing what it is to find meaning in their work. These people are not engaged at work - up to 82% of Australia's workforce. By a range of metrics, those who are engaged and contributors are worth at least four times to the bottom line than their non-contributing compliant work mates. It is vital that we turn this around in our organisations if we are to prosper and flourish in an increasingly uncertain and fragmented world.
Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a philosophy and practice for engaging people emotionally in adaptive change by discovering and building on what works for their people. AI engages people to collaborate and contribute their ideas and energy to create breakthroughs, alignment, innovation, and trust together.
In AI, participants discover, appreciate and build on what works when stakeholders are being and doing at their best. What works is the best of our past and present - our "Adaptive Strengths Code" or Positive Core. Once we discover and model our unique Positive Core, we can build a desired future by adapting to new possibilities and opportunities; whilst retaining the core essence of who we are.
In this workshop, Learn How to Coach Your Leaders & Clients to Engage Their People Emotionally
In the One Day Workshop, participants will be introduced to the AI philosophy, psychology, principles, process & tools. Participants will gain practical experience of coaching an AI Discovery & Envisioning conversation for individuals and groups around a generic engagement topic.
Participants will learn how to interview each other, share and appreciate each other's stories, how to extract the core strengths around what works in relation to the chosen engagement topic, how to coach leaders to amplify or build on these strengths and identify what to work on in their organisation to take the adaptive change journey with their people.
Participants will leave the workshop with the ability to coach others in a new way of coaching contribution by engaging their people emotionally through Appreciative Inquiry.
