Description 1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching is a one-day professional development course for professionals to learn to help parents manage difficult behaviour in children aged 2-12.

It is based on two underlying perspectives on parenting. First, children can be taught to respond more flexibly when they are frustrated or upset. Second, parents and carers can be taught easy-to-use skills they can use at particular parenting moments.

This course will provide you with the knowledge to conduct the 1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching program - either as three (two-hour) session parent education course, or to teach the program one-on-one within a few clinical treatment sessions. You will receive a comprehensive training manual, a CD slideshow parent presentation, and session-by-session guidelines for parent meetings. Lunch and am/pm refreshments are also provided.

1-2-3 Magic® & Emotion Coaching has been endorsed by the APS for 7 CPD hours (generalist or College of Community Psychologist, College of Counselling Psychologists, College of Educational or Developmental Psychologists).
