| Description | "The meaning of life is the most urgent question." - Albert Camus We live in a world that offers flashy, fast solutions. More money, more power, more status! Why do these things appear empty when we have them? What is the longing that every human desires to fulfill? The concept of meaning and happiness at work is now in the spotlight as employers look to engage their good people by providing more than status, financial enrichment and power. Come and participate in a discussion about what makes people engage and stay engaged. Why meaning matters in the workplace Meaning as a matter of engagement Mapping meaning - Story telling for growth Generational differences in meaning Some meaning matters relevant to WA A personal health check - considering your own meaning map |
| About the presenter(s) | Andrea Pauquet Litchfield has worked with people around their meaning and life questions for the last 15 years. She has achieved academic success in psychology and business, but the stories and questions of others and her own, have been by far her greatest teachers. Andrea works in the areas of coaching (team, individual and executive), psychotherapy and the facilitation of value driven conversations. She loves leadership development and working with young people and woman's issues. Her signature style of working is playfully, respectfully and being with others at the edge of possibility Andrea could also have been a travel writer, full time Nia dance teacher, photographer, journalist or film maker. She finds meaning in movement, music, nature, her beautiful children and her relationships. Andrea is learning to approach personal pain and hardship with more curiosity and gratitude. She views every person and team as their own work of art just waiting to happen. |
