Description The VHA Annual Policy Conference is being held on 11 - 12 October 2012 at the Hilton on the Park, Melbourne.

The theme of this two-day conference is Beyond Survival: Redesigning Healthcare for a Sustainable Future, exploring issues around how to create a sustainable healthcare system in an ever-changing environment.

The health system and healthcare agencies must adapt to state and national health reforms, mounting financial pressures, and the impacts of climate and demographic change. Redesign is essential to create robust processes that move beyond simply surviving year-to-year, towards achieving a sustainable future.

Conference sessions will examine how healthcare services can use funding, infrastructure, workforce, information management and research to achieve the best health outcomes for consumers in the shifting healthcare landscape.
