Treatment Planning for Children with Disruptive Behaviour Problems

Description The workshop will use the clinical model of bio-psycho-social assessment to examine the cognitive skill deficits in childhood disruptive behaviour problems. The effectiveness of a variety of focussed psychological strategies specific to children with behaviour problems, including problem solving skills training, social skills training parent management training, will be explored.
About the presenter(s) Dr Janet Costin has had more than 35 years as a practising psychologist, offering and has worked in both the Public and Private mental health system and in the Education system. . A career highlight was her years of work with the Victorian CASEA program, an early intervention program for young children with severe behaviour problems.
