Please note this webinar is only available to ATAPS providers. Places are limited and granted on a first in best served basis A panel of experts will be presenting a webinar on Trauma and Suicide Risk. Topics covered during the webinar will include etiology, risk and protective factors, assessment and treatment considerations for ATAPS clinicians working with this population. While this webinar is open to all ATAPS providers, priority will be given to those providers who have completed the Suicide Prevention Training. |
| About the presenter(s) | Professor Diego de Leo is the Director of the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention and a Professor of Psychiatry at Griffith University. He is a member of the Australian Suicide Prevention Advisory Council, and Chair of the Advisory Committee on Data Quality and Evaluation. He is also the current Editor-in-Chief of the journal Crisis, and has won several national and international awards. Mark Creamer is internationally recognised for his work on the prevention, assessment, and treatment of posttraumatic mental health problems. He is a clinical psychologist in private practice and a Professorial Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne. Rowena Conroy is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, with clinical and research expertise in the area of child and youth posttraumatic mental health. Rowena regularly provides training on this subject on behalf of the Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health. |
