| Description | Macquarie University's Centre for Emotional Health is providing a FREE public lecture on how we can improve access to treatment for people with anxiety disorders and depression by using the Internet. Associate Professor Nickolai Titov will discuss advances in psychological treatment and the potential of internet-delivered psychological treatments to improve access to treatment. He will discuss the prevalence of anxiety and depression in our communities, the nature of Internet therapy, recent results, and outstanding questions. |
| About the presenter(s) | Associate Professor Nickolai Titov has special interests in improving access to treatment for people with common emotional disorders. He leads a research team, the eCentreClinic, who are treating more than 1500 Australian adults via the Internet, in 2012. This research is timely given data indicating that many people with anxiety and depression experience difficulty accessing treatment. |
