Society for Psychotherapy Research 44th Annual International Meeting
|Description||Dedicated to the advancement of scientific knowledge about psychotherapy and behavioral change, SPR brings together researchers, clinicians, and students from a variety of theoretical orientations (e.g., cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, integrative/eclectic, interpersonal, psychodynamic, systemic) and professional backgrounds (e.g., psychiatry, psychology, social work). Every year, researchers and clinicians from around the world attend SPR's international meeting. SPR meetings are known for their friendly, interactive, and welcoming atmosphere.
Under the theme "Going the Distance: From Psychotherapy Research to Practice and Back," the Program Committee encourages proposals that explore change processes and outcomes in psychotherapy, while giving special thought to bridging the distance from psychotherapy research to practice, as well as to "travelling back" from clinical practice and training to innovative research. This is the first time this conference has been held in Australia and attracts the leading researchers from across the world.
