Emergent Research in Organisational Psychology

Format Symposium
Description In 2010 the College hosted this symposium for the first time. The event was more successful than we anticipated, with over 70 practitioners in attendance. As such, we intend to host this symposium every 2 years (i.e., in the year the IOP Conference is not held). This year, the symposium is scheduled for Saturday the 20th of October - Save the date!

The research to be presented by our speakers is "hot off the press". So, come along if you want to improve your knowledge and keep your evidence-base up to date!

Each of our presenters will speak to how their research can be (or is) practically applied to the world of work. We have specially selected these speakers so that the symposium covers a broad range of topics including the positive effects of job crafting, restoring justice in the aftermath of transgressions, decision-making in the real world, workgroup contributions to employee well-being, and new findings on the impact of work stress on Heart Rate Variability.

Please note. This symposium is part of a series of events the Queensland College of Organisational Psychologists (COP) will host that aim to bridge the academic-practitioner divide. Watch this space!
