Description A day long session for improving your practice with cutting edge information technologies!

In this one day workshop Endorsed Clinical Psychologist Les Posen, well known to many for his years of CyberPsych columns in the APS InPsych magazine, will lead you through the technology maze in a style which is both engaging and involving (no Death by Powerpoint!), designed to suit attendees' interests and knowledge levels.

Forthcoming changes to e-Health and rapid advances in how patients access information means come up to speed on how technologies are changing solo psychological practice, and how best to manage these challenges.

Each participant will have access to Les' huge database of movies, academic papers and publications, and web links to help you really come up to speed with what the fast changing world of technology has to offer the practitioner.

You'll be exposed to how Les thinks about technology to help you choose for yourself what will work for you and your practice workflow, and you'll see these technologies in action.

Digital Notetaking - Rather than being a tedious "have to" part of psychological practice, new and refined technologies can restore interest, purpose and fun to notetaking and record keeping both in the session, and outside the office.

The Paperless Office -It's the dream to go paperless and yet be able to have much needed patient and practice information at our fingertips. This updated session will integrating going paperless with mobile devices like the iPad.

Internet-based resources -There is so much out there, you need a guide to help you see how your practice can be greatly enhanced if only you knew how to use the internet, including your own place on the 'net, as well as maintain and record PD hours.

Mobile technologies - The iPhone and iPad hold huge potential for psychological practice. Les will demo current developments using these inexpensive, but fun technologies.
