Many psychologists are aware of plethora of online marketing options but not sure where to start or what the benefits are, of using online marketing strategies. This presentation is designed to address these needs, helping psychologists to ascertain the possible benefits and challenges of using the online environment in order to attract new clients to their practice.

Learning outcomes   

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will have gained understanding of:

·         What is involved in creating a website, the advantages and type of content

·         A range of other available online marketing tools, e.g., Facebook, bogging and other platforms and their level of effectiveness in attracting new clients

·         How to be found on google

·         How to use online marketing tools that are consistent with APS ethical guidelines

·         Next Steps to take in making online marketing work for you

About the presenter(s)

Krishna is a Sunshine Coast based health promoter, writer, trainer and speaker. Krishna began her marketing career 30 years ago and has chosen to specialise in the area of health promotion. She supports people in a range of health related fields to develop websites, to learn to manage their own websites if they wish, and to promote themselves more broadly in the online environment using a range of strategies. Krishna’s qualifications are as follows:
Bachelor of Health Promotion, Bachelor of Health Services Management, Cert IV in Small Business, Cert IV in Training and Assessment
