APS Melbourne Branch Movie Night - Preview Screening of "A Man called Ove"

Event number: 17509
Social Event

The Melbourne APS Branch and the Melbourne APS Student Volunteers would like to invite you to another APS Social Networking Event.

We realise that as psychologists, it can sometimes be difficult to have the opportunity to meet with our colleagues on a less formal basis. Similarly, psychology students can also find it difficult to meet with practicing psychologists. Accordingly, we are organising a regular series of events designed to give you the opportunity to network with fellow psychologists, as well as giving students an opportunity to meet with practitioners and academics.

The next event will be a free preview screening of the new film "A Man called Ove" which was nominated for Best Film (Sweden) in the foreign language category of the Oscars this year, and has been winning rave reviews around the world .

Synopsis: An irritable, elderly busybody terrorises his neighbours while grieving for his deceased wife. His clumsy attempts at suicide bring him into contact with the Persian family next door, and his growing friendship with them helps him reconnect with life
