Reflect, review and appreciate this year in a day of gratitude collagé creation.

 

During this day you will create a gratitude collagé to display images or words that represent whatever you have in your life for are thankful for. We will engage in practical exercises to reflect on the year past before using collagé and art materials to create individual gratitude boards.

 

Discover the fun, focus and inspiration in gratitude boards for self reflection, self care and feeling good!

 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify elements of your life that you are grateful for this year
  • Keep your attention on the positive gains, developments and achievements this year
  • Create your own gratitude board for 2017
  • Build skills in collagé use
  • Reflect in ways that are comfortable for you
  • Work in the safe environment of a small group

Methods will include:

  • Interactive presentations
  • Large group discussions
  • Pair and small group discussions
  • Experiential collagé exercise 
  • Use of reflective cards and sentence starters
  • Reflection opportunities

Psychologists interested in creative self reflection, self care, relaxation and recognition of aspects of life to be grateful about. It is open to all who are interested in self discovery, self expression and connection in safety and with fun and joy.  No artistic experience or skill is necessary.

About the presenter(s)

Jacki Short is the Owner and Director of Sydney Centre for Creative Change. She is a registered Counselling Psychologist with over twenty five years of clinical experience with children, young people and adults. Her work involves counselling, supervision, education and research.

Jacki has worked in drug and alcohol agencies, hospitals and as a school counsellor before moving into private practice work in Glebe, Sydney. Her passion for working with children with play based therapies saw her train with Garry Landreth and others.

As an experienced and Masters qualified adult educator, Jacki has trained thousands of students and course participants in Australia and internationally and remains committed to the safe and expressive growth of all those with whom she works. She gives her training participants practical, evidence-based techniques to help their clients talk about their lives more easily, feel better understood and find solutions that are right for them.
