Sleep and Mental Health Disorders

Event number: 19037
3 CPD hours
Presentation/Seminar
Presenter(s): Dr Matthew Blake

Event Details:

Many individuals obtain insufficient or poor quality sleep, which is not only increasingly regarded as an important public health concern, but there is also emerging evidence that sleep disturbance may precipitate and maintain many emotional and behavioural issues, including anxiety and depression. As such, quality sleep may be critical for optimising emotional health and social functioning and ultimately, improving quality of life.

  • Overview of the biopsychosocial mechanisms underlying the association between sleep and mental health disorders;
