We are very excited that Profs Charles Abraham and Helen Winefield will be presenting at the next APS College of Health Psychologists (SA Branch) AGM and professional development event.

Prof Abraham will be presenting his recent study entitled: How do small groups promote health-related change? 

Prof Winefield will be presenting on Public health contributions to well-being in an ageing society.

 

Learning outcomes

1. Describe the five core groups of interacting processes involved in health-promoting group-based behaviour change interventions to inform the optimal design of such interventions.

2. To develop understanding of how to promote well-being for all, in a society containing more older people.

About the presenter(s)

Charles Abraham is an applied social and health psychologist specialising in translational health research. He is Professor of Social and Health Psychology at the University of Exeter Medical School and holds honorary chairs at the Universities of Maastricht, Nottingham and Sussex (UK).

Helen Winefield is Professor of Health Psychology at the University of Adelaide and has an interest in family and professional care-giving in illness and disability, occupational health psychology, and psychosocial development in relation to workforce participation.
