9th Annual Conference of the Australian Psychological Society's Psychology of Relationships Interest Group

Format Conference
Presenters Various
Description Bringing together academics, practitioners and other interested people, the annual Psychology of Relationships Interest Group (PORIG) conference is usually well-attended and provides an excellent opportunity learn about exciting research being conducted in the broad field of 'relationships'. The professional workshops typically scheduled during the program provide further opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of a particular area.

This year, for the first time, the annual PORIG conference moves to Brisbane and will be hosted by QUT's School of Psychology and Counselling from 7-8 November 2009. The theme for this year's conference is "Connecting Research and Practice in Relationships". Our keynote speakers - Professor Ian Shochet (QUT, Australia) and Professor Wendy Samter (Bryant University, USA) - will provide an engaging and informative addition to our program.

The Conference Committee is now calling for submissions for the conference program. Abstracts for individual papers, posters, symposia, workshops or a professional forum are invited to be submitted by Friday, 3 July 2009. The Interest Group has traditionally adopted a broad definition of 'relationship', and we welcome submissions from academics, practitioners and students.

Visit the Conference website to download a flyer or use the file included here to make a submission.
