Positive Psychology: Inspire, Connect, Capitalise
|Description||The aim of this Professional Development Day is to foster the grass roots growth of positive psychology in Melbourne and Australia. We plan to provide an engaging, interactive and fun forum for a limited number (30 people) of practitioners, researchers, and students with a passion for positive psychology. We have prepared a unique day to meet, learn and network with others who are applying positive psychology in health, education, research, business, coaching and performance. The day is a mix of inspirational short talks, networking, and a team challenge (Note: wearing high heels may put you at a disadvantage). You are invited to come along - be inspired, connect and capitalize on this opportunity!
Presenters, facilitators & mentors (confirmed so far): Dr Lindsay Oades (business wellbeing), Dr Jo Mitchell (values, wellbeing & performance), Dr Jacci Norrish (adolescent wellbeing & compassion), Dr Adrian Medhurst (creativity & mindfulness), Dr Kat Page (workplace wellbeing), Danielle Buckley (coaching psychologist & mum), Maria Roberto (wellbeing in education), Mark la Pierre (Melbourne positive psychology interest group), Luke Henderson (clinical psychology, wellbeing & performance), Emily Toner (Adolescent wellbeing).
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Anyone with a passion and basic experience with positive psychology (research or applied). This is an experienctial day, so be prepared to interact, connect with and be inspired by what others are doing in this field in Australia.
