Treating Bipolar Disorder from a Psychological Perspective
Format Workshop
Description This workshop covers diagnostic and management issues with particular reference to differences between bipolar I and bipolar II disorders. It also presents information about medications used in the treatment of acute episodes as well as issues relevant to long-term management. The seminar provides practical skills on psychological strategies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal and Social Rhythms Therapy and the development of wellbeing plans to facilitate recovery and to prevent relapse in bipolar disorder.
