This is an intensive day of training at an advanced level for clinicians who already have some experience in treating OCD but wish to take a closer look at some of the finer points of using CBT with this problem and also to explore issues and challenges when treating more severe, complex and atypical presentations. The presenter will provide many case examples from her own practice throughout the day. Participants will be encouraged to discuss their own cases during the designated supervision parts of the day. The Masterclass will be a positive, supportive and confidential environment designed to put participants at ease and encourage creative thinking. Participants of this Masterclass can expect the opportunity to: - discuss your own challenging cases with other experienced clinicians -learn about some of the latest developments in evidence-based treatments for OCD - update your knowledge regarding the latest research around OCD - refine some of the most important technical aspects of treating OCD such as the critical timing of exposure, unique aspects of the therapeutic relationship etc. - practice specific techniques and receive on the spot expert supervision - find out about new resources (books, audio) relevant to understanding and treating OCD |
