IPOS 14th World Congress

Description The 2012 IPOS 14th World Congress of Psycho-Oncology and Psychosocial Academy will be held in Brisbane, in conjunction with the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA) 39th Annual Scientific Meeting. The Congress and Academy are initiatives of the International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS), and will be hosted by Cancer Council Queensland, in partnership with the Australian Psycho-Oncology Cooperative Research Group and Australian Psycho-Oncology Society.

The theme of the Congress is Impact through Translation: Cancer Research Informing Practice. The Congress will bring together the world's leading psycho-oncologists, clinicians, researchers and other health professionals to promote psycho-oncology research and practice. A dynamic program will ensure all delegates gain new understandings of the future opportunities for psycho-oncology on the international stage, to improve cancer care globally.

Notes On Sunday 11 and Monday 12 November, the IPOS Psychosocial Academy will offer two full days of training conducted by leaders in the field. Several workshops are given each year addressing top issues in research and practice.
