As part of its initiatives to assist Organisational psychologists, the APS College of Organisational Psychologists is offering subsidised places in a Master Class to assist its members to comply with PsyBA supervisor requirements.

The topic for this Master Class is:

Enhancing supervisee's reflective practice and advanced skills training

This masterclass aims to build supervisors’ skill and confidence in incorporating reflective practice and advanced relational skills into competency-based supervision.  Designed for supervisors in organisational psychology, this one-day workshop will address the principles, models and skills of reflective practice in supervision and important relational skills that are relevant to effective supervision such as giving and receiving feedback, managing ethical and professional issues in the supervisory relationship and the supervisee’s practice, and building supervisee skills of self-evaluation and reflection.  Participants will learn and explore ways in which they can apply reflective practice and critical relational skills in the planning, implementation and evaluation of supervision programs.  Taking an experiential learning approach and working in small groups, participants will have the opportunity to discuss, role-play and receive feedback and support from their peers to build their confidence and skill in the management of scenarios and issues in supervision that they will be invited to bring with them to the workshop.
