National Psychology Week 2014 - hashtag #NPW2014 - is an APS initiative that aims to increase public awareness of how psychology can help people and communities lead healthier, happier and more meaningful lives.

The focus for National Psychology Week 2014 this year will be helping Australians to manage stress and increase their wellbeing, and to recognise when professional help is needed.

In particular, the campaign will examine lifestyle factors that impact on health and wellbeing, and aim to provide guidance on psychological strategies to help people achieve a healthier lifestyle.

Every November, hundreds of Australian psychologists across the country run NPW events to highlight psychology and its contribution to the Australian community. To find an event which is happening near you, search our handy map.

The 2014 APS Stress and wellbeing in Australia Survey has now been released.
