The APS Sydney Branch Community Wellbeing Award encourages community participation and involvement in National Psychology Week by supporting community groups to plan and implement projects that encourage psychological wellbeing in the community.

Eligibility

(a) Nominees must be a community group or organisation implementing a community wellbeing project in some part of the same geographic area as the APS Sydney Branch region.

(b) The project must operate at some time during the financial year ending in the financial year the call for nominations is made.

Nomination process

(a) The selection committee will call for nominations by writing to all councils in the APS Sydney Branch region. An application form will be included, together with a description of the criteria and award. The form will carry an introductory statement from the award patron.

(b) Nominations should include a one page description of the project that has encouraged community wellbeing and the project outcomes for the year to July.

Judging criteria

The selection committee will have regard to whether or not the project undertaken by the community group has demonstrably encouraged psychological wellbeing within the community.

Value of the award

Successful APS Sydney Branch Community Wellbeing Award will receive an award of up to $5000 and a certificate.
