This award was established by the APS College of Community Psychologists to honour the pioneering work of Robin Winkler (1945-1988) in the field of community psychology in Australia. The Award is intended to encourage and recognise excellence in a project in the field of applied community psychology.

Criteria and Value of the Award

The Award is open to persons from all grades of membership of the APS, who have completed a project within the past twelve months. The Award will be judged by a selection committee to be chaired by the APS College of Community Psychologists National Chair. Notions of excellence in applied community psychology will be judged in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College – for further details, see the College of Community Psychologists website.

Nominations and closing date

Prize: $250 and a certificate.

Nominations should include the name and address of the nominee; the title of the project; a statement in support of the nomination, signed by the nominee; evidence that the nominee is eligible for the award; and a summary of the project (maximum 500 words).
