KidsMatter aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children, reduce mental health problems amongst children, and achieve greater support for children experiencing mental health difficulties, and their families. It includes KidsMatter Early Childhood and KidsMatter Primary.
KidsMatter Early Childhood is a national early childhood mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention initiative specifically developed for early childhood services whereas KidsMatter Primary is specifically developed for primary schools. Both initiatives involve the people who have a significant influence on young children's lives - parents, families, care-givers, child care professionals, teachers, and community agencies - in making a positive difference for young children's mental health during this important developmental period.
