Applications for APS endorsement of PD activities

From 1 January 2005 the fee structure for applications for endorsement is as follows:

Single-event endorsement 
  • $220 (GST inclusive) per activity for APS members who are not sponsored by an APS College, Branch or Interest Group
  • $330 (GST inclusive) per activity for non-members
Annual Licence  

An Annual Licence costs $800 (GST inclusive) in the first year and $550 (GST inclusive) every consecutive year thereafter. 

 

About endorsements

A single-event endorsement is valid for 12 months, providing the details of the event do not change from the original application. This means that PD providers can run the endorsed event as often as they like over the 12-month period.

For all approved endorsements, providers will be issued with an insignia that can be used on promotional material to attract APS members. The insignia sets out the number of endorsed points, the College(s) (if any) that has approved the endorsement, and the date to which the endorsement is valid.

An APS Annual Licence is available as an alternative to the single-event endorsement for providers who offer three events or more per year. The licence allows a PD provider to run these endorsed courses as often as they like over the 12-month period. It costs $800 (GST inclusive) in the first year and $550 (GST inclusive) every consecutive year thereafter. It is important to note that a separate single-event endorsement application must be made for each individual workshop/ seminar organised under an Annual Licence.

Please note that the advertisement MUST NOT contain:

  • Any reference to APS PD points unless the advertiser has received formal notification that the activity has been endorsed by the APS for PD points (e.g., ‘PD points pending’; ‘PD points applied for’ must not be used in an advertisement).

How to apply for single-event endorsement

  1. Open the guidelines and application form by clicking on the Word document below, which will open in a new browser window. 
  2. Save the file to your computer before you begin entering your details, so that it can be emailed:
    • On your tool bar choose 'File' --> 'Save as' to save to your computer.
  3. Complete all required details. Please email the application form, and mail or fax the payment page.
