There are two differerent pathways to becoming a Member.
You can join as a Member if you have completed a six-year sequence of study in psychology.
The six years of study includes four years of Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited study in psychology and either

If you join between:
*Join between 11 February and 31 May of the same year, you recieve APS membership until 31 May of the following year.
You are eligible for the New Graduate Fee if you apply within 12 months from completing your 5th and 6th year course requirements. You will receive a 50% discount in your first year of membership and a 25% discount in the following year. Your fees will then revert to the standard Member rate.
If you are eligible for other reductions in fee, you will be given the most generous of the relevant reduction available.
^The date that determines whether you are eligible for the Member, New Graduate rate is the date when you met all the course requirements for your degree, NOT the date when you graduated or received your qualification certificate.
You are eligible for the Recent Graduate Fee if you apply within 24 months^ from the date you completed your 5th and 6th year course requirements . You will receive a 25% discount when you first join the APS. Your fees will then revert to the standard Member rate.
Members who may be eligible for other fee reductions will be given the most generous of the relevant reduction available.
